Welcome to Demo Day!

We are TEAM 11 DataDynamo! This is our Tukko 1.1 demo!

About our assignment

From day one, we were assigned to implement new features to Tukko Traffic Visualizer application. We've been doing lots of preperations, due to requirements what were needed to accomplish these tasks and role based skill-sets. We have been doing lots of documentations and few important implementations to Tukko. On this document, we will introduce you to our accomplishments and will guide you, how to interact with these new features. so without further ado, let's get to the main point!

What we have been developing?

  • In the beginning of the project, it was needed to set up Tukko to be running on csc pouta server (FEA507) for development and testing ground of our features.

  • We have created newly working comparison tool (FEA203), which will let user to select wanted LAM-stations and compare their data, based on selceted time-period. If user then wants to import this data package, he/she can just click on the button and the data will be imported to users own computer as csv-file.

  • Third feature which were produced was a monitoring and alerting system (FEA508), which allows platform engineers to monitor ongoing traffic through out the application. This oversight system helps platform engineers on problem solving situations and to improve the system.

  • Fourth feature based on the working of Tukko is dark mode improvment (FEA106). The contrast was changed for users to see clearly while using dark mode and some elements were changed to more behaved colors and also pop-up note was changed to user friendly color.

Machine 1 was our main testing ground

Machine 2 holds our every feature we've been produced, so feel free to use it!

What should be tested?

  • How the comparison tool between two lam-stations works and what kind of data it provides depend on time period user has been set. After selecting time period, user should be able to import this data as csv file to his own computer.
  • User should test the dark mode feature, to examine the colors and their effect on visibility.

About our technical implementation and focus areas

  • Our team focused on the roles what were given from the beginning of this course, so we have had lots of documentation, few implementations and testing. But besides those roles, our team is very capable of creating new code and document, due to our studies on Jamk. Every team member has studied their own field of studies based on their role, so we have very good knowledge of testing, operations, development, security and documentation.

  • Our main focuses on this project was to put our skills to test in our specific role on the project, so we did not have any MAIN FOCUS AREAS. Every team member focused independently on their own role skills and used them evenly on to this project, but mainly we have done lots of documentation which is very important thing on the daily-base project.

Here is a list of our produced documents based on this project

Here you can find our roadmap, which shows our project flow starting 04.03.2024
